About HelpConsult
Guiding Students Toward
Confident College Futures
At HelpConsult, we believe every student deserves a clear, supported, and empowering transition from high school to college. Our work is rooted in compassion, structure, and expertise — ensuring that students, including those with disabilities, feel prepared and confident for higher education.
Our Beginning
Where Compassion Meets Strategy
HelpConsult was founded with a simple yet powerful vision: to make the college transition process less overwhelming and more empowering for students and families.
We saw firsthand how many students — especially those with learning differences, ADHD, physical disabilities, or executive functioning challenges — felt anxious and unsupported during college planning. Families often struggled to understand accommodation systems, documentation requirements, and long-term preparation strategies.
HelpConsult was created to bridge that gap.
By combining personalized planning with disability-informed expertise, we provide students with both practical tools and emotional confidence to succeed in higher education.

This vision lived quietly in my heart for years, but in March 2025, everything became clear. Sitting at my kitchen table one night, I reflected on the many times I had helped friends and family navigate college, especially financial aid, admissions, and student accounts, when they could not get answers from these offices. Too often, I watched students feel defeated, not because they lacked ability, but because barriers that could have been resolved with the right guidance stood in their way.
That moment solidified my purpose. I wanted to make a real impact by helping students stay enrolled, persist, and graduate rather than drop out because of challenges that could have been addressed through advocacy and support. I brought this vision to my now business partners, intentionally choosing women whose passion I had witnessed firsthand. Over the years, we worked together supporting families as they navigated higher education, and I knew we shared the same commitment not just to helping students start college, but to helping them finish their degrees. Each partner brings invaluable knowledge and experience to support families at every stage of their educational journey.
My own experience also shapes this mission. I remember feeling completely alone while trying to navigate these offices, and at one point, it made me consider not returning to school at all. I was done. Decades later, I found my way back to finish, and that experience reshaped my purpose. Now, after over 25 years in higher education, I have made a promise to myself: if I can help a student navigate an issue, no matter how complex, I will make it my priority to support them until it is fully resolved.
As a mother of a child with special needs, this work is deeply personal. One day, my son may walk this same path, and I want to help create a world where no student is excluded or left behind. Every student deserves guidance, support, and someone firmly in their corner.

With over 25 years in the trenches of Higher Education administration, I’ve seen the college process from every angle: as a Senior Director of Financial Aid, as a Teaching Assistant, and most importantly as a mother of two college age. I co-founded HELP Consulting because I realized that the bridge between a student's dream and their degree shouldn't be a mountain of confusing paperwork. My mission is to pull back the curtain on the admissions and aid process, transforming a high-stress 'numbers game' into a personalized roadmap that empowers families to secure the best possible future for their children without the financial burnout.

Guiding students and families through the college journey with clarity and confidence
I co-founded Help Consulting after being invited to help build a service dedicated to guiding students and families through the college process—especially when it comes to understanding FERPA, financial aid, and the many financial steps that can often feel overwhelming. While those topics initially sparked my interest, our conversations quickly revealed just how many areas students and families need support in and how valuable these services can be. With over 15 years of leadership experience in higher education, I’ve worked closely with students and families and understand the challenges they face throughout the college journey. My passion for helping students is also reflected in my academic background. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership, and I use that experience to help students prepare for and transition into college with confidence.
